Because the Presbytery of Milwaukee values authentic relationships, risk-taking for the sake of the Gospel, and collaborative leadership, we know that traditional congregational worship is not the only way for us to connect with and worship God. Different styles of worship, venues, and levels of participation can inspire us to a deeper connection. The Presbytery supports alternative worshiping communities with a team that will: help you set benchmarks and develop a budget; meet regularly with you to listen and help you gauge how the ministry is going; promote the ministry as an opportunity for engagement by others; and work with you to identify ministry partners, including denominational connections. 1001 New Worshiping Communities1001 new worshiping communities is a movement happening in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Across the PC(USA), God is raising up leaders in churches and presbyteries who are creating new worshiping communities.
They are taking on new and varied forms of church for our changing culture. Primarily they are seeking to make and form new disciples of Jesus Christ, to change and transform the world. |
